Health & Safety Information

Important Safety Information
Please be mindful that our villas must adhere to the local standards and regulations of the country they are located in. These standards may differ from what you are accustomed to in the UK, so we kindly request that you exercise extra caution during your vacation.
Before your departure, we will provide you with your travel documents. These documents contain valuable information specific to your property, including essential details about your villa, directions, and contacts within the resort. They also offer valuable advice and guidelines for ensuring your safety while on holiday, along with contact information for local emergency services.
Balcony Safety
The allure of hillside villas with panoramic views is undeniable. However, it's important to note that low walls and balustrades, often designed to preserve the scenic beauty, are common features. Upon arrival, please ensure that all members of your party are made aware of any low walls or balconies. Additionally, closely supervise children to prevent them from climbing railings or furniture. It goes without saying, but please refrain from leaning or sitting on the balcony edges.
Beach Safety
Beach days are a highlight of any sun-soaked holiday, but even seemingly safe beaches can pose risks in certain weather conditions. Upon arrival, familiarize yourself with beach signage and be vigilant for warning flags - inquire about their meanings if needed. Never swim in areas marked as unsafe. Some zones may be designated for jet boats or jet skis, while lifeguards may identify other areas as potentially hazardous. Be mindful of tides and currents, and keep a close watch over your children. Inflatables, while fun, are best enjoyed in your villa's pool, not in open water. When swimming, stay along the shoreline and avoid venturing out to sea.
Children's Safety
Children are naturally curious, especially when exploring new places during a holiday. Exercise extra caution when supervising them around swimming pools, balconies, water bodies, and unfenced areas, as the accommodations may not have the same childproofing measures as your home. If you've selected a villa in the countryside, it's not uncommon to find working farms nearby, so ensure children don't wander near animals unsupervised.
Doors
We've all had our moments of walking into closed glass doors. Please exercise caution during your holiday, especially in bright sunlight when it may not be immediately apparent whether windows or patio doors are open or closed. Keep in mind that some overseas glass doors may not be made with toughened safety glass, as regulations in some countries do not require it.
Exterior Grounds
If seclusion is what you seek during your holiday, our rural villas may be your choice. Many of them boast breathtaking panoramic views, but this can mean varying elevations and descending gardens on the property grounds. Ensure that everyone in your party, especially children, is aware of these areas, and maintain close supervision in these zones.
Fire Safety
Upon arrival at your accommodation, take some time to familiarize everyone with the essential villa information, location, and local contact numbers - all of which are conveniently provided in your travel documents.
If the smoke detector activates, please notify your villa manager or local contact immediately for a replacement. Take note of the nearest fire extinguisher or fire blanket location.
In the event of a fire, evacuate the property immediately. Do not endanger yourself by attempting to collect belongings. Move to a safe area away from the building.
Smoking is strictly prohibited within your villa or accommodation. In areas where smoking is allowed, dispose of cigarette stubs and ash responsibly.
Gas Safety
Certain villas feature gas appliances. If you have any concerns or suspect a problem, open all doors and windows, exit the property, and promptly contact your villa manager or local contact. Do not attempt to locate a gas leak on your own.
General Safety
As a general rule, exercise the same level of care and caution as you would at home, while also considering the points outlined in this document. Upon arrival at your villa, familiarize yourself with the accommodation's facilities and safety features.
Please refrain from attempting to repair any issues on your own, regardless of your DIY skills. If you notice anything broken or hazardous, inform your villa manager or local contact.
Tiles or marble floors can be slippery when wet, particularly around the poolside. Take extra care and avoid running around the pool area.
Holiday Resorts & Facilities
All facilities listed are provided by the resort itself, with the management team responsible for their quality and operation, including services and staff.
Local Attractions / Activities / Excursions

Out & About
When exploring, avoid carrying excessive amounts of cash. If necessary, split your funds with a friend or partner, distributing the money between your wallet, money belt, and an inside pocket. Always wear your seatbelt when traveling, and when renting a car, keep emergency/breakdown telephone numbers handy.
Stair Safety
Many of our villas feature steps, either inside or in the villa grounds. These steps can be steep and may become slippery when damp or rainy. Exercise caution when moving around and ensure that your feet (and your children's feet) are dry after swimming or bathing.
Swimming Pool Safety
Keep a vigilant watch over your children in and around the pool area at all times. Familiarize yourself and your children with the pool depths, and avoid swimming at night or under the influence of alcohol. Diving is not allowed in any of our swimming pools. After leaving the pool, ensure your ears are thoroughly dried, as trapped water can lead to ear infections.
If your villa features an infinity or horizon pool with a significant drop from the edge, exercise extra caution with children, and refrain from using inflatables in these pools. Do not stand, walk, or lean on the infinity edge.
Telephones
Telephones are not provided in our properties unless otherwise stated in the villa description. In holiday resorts, phones may be available for internal resort calls. We recommend carrying a mobile phone for emergency communication.
Water Safety
In some destinations, tap water may not be suitable for drinking. Therefore, we recommend consuming bottled water while you're abroad.
Sustainable Tourism
With increasing travel, concerns arise regarding the environmental and cultural impacts on holiday destinations. We recognize the role the holiday industry plays in sustaining and improving the environment for future generations. Our brochures and magazines are produced using paper with chain of custody certification, ensuring sustainable wood sourcing from managed forests.
